The headmaster was arrested for the alleged assault of a 15-year-old boy.
The headmaster of Kingdom Preparatory School, a private Christian school in Auburndale, Fl, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of molesting a student.
Charles Aguon, 34, is being held without bail at the Polk County Jail on two felony counts of lewd molestation of a victim between 12 and 16 years old, reports ABC News.
Aguon was arrested two hours after an alleged phone conversation he had with the victim, a 15-year-old student at the school. As investigators listened in, they heard many incriminating statements from Aguon.
According to a criminal affidavit, the victim said he was uncomfortable and did not like it when Aguon kissed and touched him, which prompted Aguon to respond, “You know I was only messing with you.”
The victim came forward to authorities about the alleged assaults, saying he was molested on several different occasions, mostly this past December.
After his arrest, Aguon allegedly “admitted that maybe some of my conduct was inappropriate,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd explained during a press conference.
“Make no mistake about it, Pastor Tiger is caged up in the county jail right now where he should be. And our goal is to send Pastor Tiger to the state prison lockup,” said Judd.
Aguon is also a sixth- and seventh-grade teacher and football coach at Kingdom Prep and students refer to him as “Pastor Tiger.” Judd added at the conference that the school’s motto is “to be the most loving school in the world.”
Investigations will continue, as it is not clear if there are other victims.
“I certainly hope and pray that everyone else at the school has no knowledge and this is a singular event,” Judd said. “However, I’m very frustrated because the leader … certainly didn’t display the conduct we expect of a teacher, of a coach, of a minister, of a headmaster of a private school.”
